The Simple Note: Weekend Recap

Earlier this month T told me that we would be celebrating Valentine's Day all month. I can't lie I got excited. This past weekend we checked out two foodie spots, went to the gun range, and tested out my second lens for my camera. Here's a recap of the weekend.

Saturday, we started early! We had breakfast at one of my favorites, Edgewood Diner. Our surprise date turned into a trip to the gun range. Last weekend T planned a surprise date and I attempted to guess where we were going. I guessed the gun range, but we actually went to Paint and Sip. So this weekend he decided the gun range would be a good spot to go to! After, we had frozen yogurt. (Did I mention I hate surprises?)

Saturday evening, we decided on The Bearded Pig. I have a catchy eye when it comes to beards so the name bearded really got my attention. Such a cool environment, good service, and great food. Their baked beans were amazing! We also tried The Schoffennhofer which can easily described as a grapefruit ale. If you go, try it!

After dinner, we drove around to find the perfect spot to test out my new lens. We settled on the bridge to take a few pictures of Jacksonville! Sad thing is I left the 75/300mm lens at home. I used the 18-55mm lens, but I'll have to go back and test it out with the other. I took the pictures from the car because I was definitely afraid to get out of the car with traffic, but it was so much fun! Here's a picture recap.

I am very proud of this shot! I'll be going back soon to perfect the image and hopefully make it sharper!

Sunday, church and relax! One of T's goals for February is to drop down to 235 while maintaining strength. I must say he's progressing well. Here are some post-workout shots!
