Wedding Planning and Bridal Party Proposals

Thankful. We've finally started wedding planning and I decided the blog the process. At first I didn't plan to, but I was asked by a few people, so I thought why not! In honor of the first wedding planning blog post, the first couple of things we did in our process were:

1. Pick a date!

Boy was this hard. It's slightly not even "set". What I've learned in this part of our planning is that the date, day of week, time of day, and the venue itself matter. Why? After speaking with potential venues, I was really convinced to have a wedding on a Monday or Thursday to get a discount (thousands of dollars to be exact)! Although we have a date in mind, depending on where we have the ceremony determines what day we choose because of their availability. Good thing we are "open" to other options.

2. Pick (narrow down) venue options!

Stemming off number one, there is one venue I absolutely love! This venue is not in the budget! Bummer. A positive aspect to this is that it allows me to tap into my creative side and explore venues in order to create a space that really gives us the feel and look we are going for. Even though we haven't picked our venue yet, I feel we are getting close.

3. Propose to the bridal party

Asking my girls to stand by my side, for me, is such an intimate moment. I made sure I gave an offering that was a replica of me and that meant something more than just a simple gift. I also wanted to make sure the gentlemen had an offering with personal touches and that reflected T.

My bridal party is my prayer team, my challengers/encourages, and my girls who have held (will continue to hold) an important place in my life. When you think about it, that sounds so cliché, but it's true. Your wedding party is a representation of you. I am honored to have the opportunity to share this moment with them (as well as my other friends and family). I pray they share this honor with me.

On the next post, I will share what is inside of the boxes made for the entire party!
In the meantime, reach out and share any wedding planning tips! We'd love to hear from you.

With Forever Love,
