Engagement Session and Save the Date

It's been a while on the wedding planning. The past two months, T and I have been preparing for a lot of different things. It's definitely been a test and learning process for us. Now we're back to the planning and are ready to share our date! Not that it's ever been a secret. Initially, T and I set our wedding for October 21st, 2018. We felt that was a good time and gave us a good time to get a lot of things in order joining two families and making decisions not just for a "wedding" but for life together. When we felt things were coming in place, and after a lot of prayer, we decided to move our date up.

So far we have, picked our DJ, finalized possible photographer, purchased my wedding gown and flower girls dresses, picked some floral details, chose the venue, and narrowed down the food choices. All my life I have wanted a BIG wedding. I grew up, I wouldn't say "dreaming of my big day", but loving the idea of planning a wedding. Maybe that has to do with my love for hosting and entertaining. Even when we first started out planning, I felt I had to have certain items for our day to be "perfect". As this process is going along, I've realized I don't need all those things to have the day to be "perfect". I can have smaller centerpieces, less drapery, and a smaller guest list (this is surely a struggle).

We're determined to make it work and focus on what's important (and especially life after a wedding). I couldn't be more excited about whats to come. If any brides have an recommendations to get through these next six months, my ears are wide open!

She completely captured our vision). While you're there, leave us a note for our guestbook, we'd love to know you stopped by!
